How to Join the Stamp Rally
1. Download the Yamasta app
You can find it on both App Store and Google Play.
2. Set up the app & mobile phone
First of all, you need to allow the Yamasta app access to your location settings.
[iOS]
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. Make sure that Location Services is on. Then, scroll down to find the “ヤマスタ” app. Tap on the app to open up the specific app settings. Select either “While Using the App” or “Always”, and then enable “Precise Location”.
[Android]
Go to Settings > Location. Enable “Use Location”. Then, in the app location permission settings for the “ヤマスタ” app, select “Allow only while using the app” and enable “Use Precise Location”.
*For more precise location sharing with the app, go to Settings > Location > Location Services. Go to Google Location Accuracy and enable “Improve Location Accuracy”. Then, back on “Location Services”, enable Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning.
*Always use the latest version of the app. Steps for configuration might differ depending on your device and OS version.
*To participate, you must have a smartphone and be able to successfully install the Yamasta app.
3. Join an event on the app

On the app, go to “Stamp Rally”, and choose either A or B. Select the event that you want to join. Read and confirm the details of the hiking trail and checkpoints before pressing the C button.
4. When you reach a checkpoint

Go to the checkpoint and tap on the D button. The stamp will automatically be issued to your stamp album. Look out for fascinating stamp designs!
*If your location can be determined through GPS, you can check in even if you are not connected to a mobile network or Wi-Fi.
Trophies and medals

You can earn trophies and points once you’ve collected a certain number of stamps.
What if I’m somewhere with poor reception?

If you don’t have a Wi-Fi or mobile network connection, you will be issued a temporary stamp with a generic design. That stamp will automatically change into one that’s more unique once you are reconnected to the internet.
*You don’t have to leave the app on. You can open it only when you reach the designated spot and need to check in. Feel free to switch off your phone in the meantime if you are worried about running low on batteries.
